What if there is residual color noise around the edges after cutout?
Increase "color tolerance" to remove more near-background pixels, and use "edge feathering" for smoother transitions; if colors inside the subject match the background and get removed by mistake, switch to "contiguous cutout" mode.
What is the difference between full-image chroma key and contiguous cutout?
Full-image chroma key removes all pixels close to the background color; contiguous cutout only removes background areas connected to the image edges, keeping same-colored parts inside the subject — better when the background color is similar to parts of the subject.
What kind of images work best?
Best for images with solid, green/blue-screen backgrounds that contrast clearly with the subject. Results are limited when the background is complex or its color is close to the subject.
